Restoring vision, purpose, and potential while bringing HOPE to the community at Denver Women's Correctional Facility.
At Vision of Hope, we have learned that "Seeing is Freeing" when women have better fitting and more personalized eyeglasses. We strive to purchase quality prescription eyeglasses from online vendors for the women who need them. Our vision is to place as many pairs of glasses on the faces of God’s daughters as are needed. Our hope is that by being able to see, it will provide additional clarity in every aspect of their life.
Making arrangements and providing basic essentials for women as they begin their journey outside of the walls at Denver Women’s Correctional Facility was something Lacie discovered was needed. Through reaching out to friends and family, we are able to have these HOPE backpacks delivered to women and in the process, we provide a little bit of love and a lot more hope.
Having a friend to come alongside us during difficult times is an important part of life and often provides support when we need it most. HOPE - Helping Others Progress Effectively - does exactly this for the women who are arriving at the Denver Women’s Correctional Facility for the first time. Having a peer to assist and help navigate this newfound journey helps in many ways. In fact, we believe it is a more effective way to progress and bring hope.
Below, we are sharing a few testimonial letters of how the women residing within DWCF have benefited from
Vision of Hope.
They are sharing their renewed hope.
Please join us in bringing clarity to their future, support to their transition, and hope to an unknown environment.
I don't have little family left and survive on what the state pays me each month. Therefore, I had little or no chance of ever being able to order REAL eyeglasses. This has been an absolute blessing. I cannot thank you enough!!!
Dear Vision of Hope, I heard about your much needed eyewear program by word-of-mouth here in prison. Know that your program and help with eyeglasses is greatly appreciated and such a blessing! Enclosed is a donation I am able to do at this time. Thank you very, very much for all that your program does! Have a nice day!
I would just like to start out by saying. Thank you so much for my glasses. I can see much better and I get a lot of compliments on how good they look on me. So again, thank you so much. This program you have started is amazing to use here at DWCF. Thank you!
