Executive Clemency Request for Lacie Nelson – DOC #145499
Letter:
Dear Governor Polis,
I am writing to you in support of Lacie Nelson being granted Executive Clemency and exonerated.
Please watch this 2-minute video:
https://vimeo.com/944972649?share=copy
Lacie Nelson’s innocence has been under fire ever since she refused to admit guilt and accept a probation-only plea deal in 2007 for a crime she didn't commit.
We ask that you listen to the testimony of the numerous lawyers that vouch for her innocence, even a law professor who learned of Lacie Nelson’s plight when he was approached by a federal judge who heard her case. This judge also believes Lacie is innocent and was unable to provide relief due to lawyering and procedural issues.
Your power to issue Executive Clemency provides a beacon of hope.
